Terms of use

The short, plain-language rules for using this site and reusing its content.

Educational content

Manipedia explains manipulation techniques for educational purposes. Entries describe patterns, not verdicts about specific people or organisations. Where we name a documented campaign or case, we cite public sources. Nothing here is legal, financial or medical advice.

Examples are examples

Mock posts, handles, brands and institutes in the entries are invented to illustrate a pattern. Any resemblance to real accounts or companies is coincidental unless the text explicitly names a documented case with a source.

Accuracy

We try hard to be accurate and to correct mistakes quickly (see the contact page). The site is provided “as is”; we cannot guarantee it is complete, current or error-free, and we are not liable for decisions taken on the basis of it.

Linking and reuse

  • Link to any page freely. Linking an entry under a post that uses the technique is the intended use.
  • Text is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0: reuse, translate and adapt it, credit “Manipedia” with a link to the entry, and share your version under the same licence.
  • Share images (/share/… and /og/…) may be posted anywhere, unaltered, with or without a link.
  • The Manipedia name and logo identify this project; please do not use them in a way that suggests we endorse your content.
  • Fonts are Reddit Sans by Reddit, Inc., under the SIL Open Font License.

Third-party content

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest change. This page is general information, not legal advice. Governing law: Hungary.
